Job DescriptionDM Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for three Dispatch Operatives on behalf of our client, an established poultry processing business based in rural Shropshire. Our client now are a modern manufacturing and distribution operation, employing over a hundred employees.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for the accurate fulfillment of orders from goods in and stock replenishment through to picking and packing.
Be willing to maintain a clean and safe workstation
Working in a manner that promotes good health and safety practices, wearing any personal protective equipment provided
Be willing to undertake some manual handling, bending and reaching as part of your normal duties.
Picking, packing and labeling orders for dispatch with accuracy and without delay
Manually loading courier vehicles
Receiving and manually unloading deliveries
Checking, sorting and putting away deliveries
Using computerised systems to book stock/courier collections
The successful candidates will be predominantly working in the dispatch area, however training will also be provided on all roles in the production area, in order for the candidates to become skilled in all aspects of both roles. Duties in the production area include meat processing, meat packing, cutting meat, line picking, boxing. The candidates will be working with raw chicken, occasionally other duties will be required, such as cleaning the production are and machines.
You will work within a poultry farm who deal with the whole cycle from live in take to dispatch. The work is fast paced and you will be working in a cold environmenthowever the team are actively looking to train candidates for quick progression if you show a great work ethic and positive attitude to work.

This is an full-time, temporary to permanent position with a potential of it becoming permanent after the successful completion of a probation period.
Hourly pay rate is £8.56
Working hours are 7.00am - 7.00pm between Monday to Friday (overtime available on Saturdays. You will be working 12 hour shifts 4 days a week.
Day off will be rotating weekly and you'll have a long weekend every 5 weeks.
