Job Description
DM Recruitment are currently recruitment for team leaders for our prestigious client located in the Telford area. Hours of work are rotating weekly shifts 6am - 2pm /2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am. Previous team leading experience essential for this role.

Your daily duties as a team leader are as follow;

Liaising with the Senior Works Manager on Production requirements.
Following the galvanizing programme to completion
Ensure shifts are fully manned and annual leave is covered as and when required.
Adhering to ISO 9001 Quality standards and carrying work out in line with the standard.
Ensuring a swift and concise handover to the oncoming Works Manager.
Authorising leave requests.
Ensure workers are loading the correct materials and filling each boom effectively.
Be responsible for overall quality of all materials produced (and resolve any quality issues)
Sign off delivery notes and certificates of conformity.
Oversee Biffa Tank deliveries.
Ensuring all work leaving the plant is stacked, packed and banded correctly.
All work must be marked up correctly with the correct customer name, date and shift produced.
Updating the Rolling Order Book to confirm completed work, ongoing work and black work still on the yard.
At least 2-3 times per week check the strength of the quench tanks.
Regular daily checks of flux tanks and making additions to the Flux tank as and when required.
Tank Additions logging the following chemicals: Zinc, Aluminium, Flux, Water, Quench chemicals, Acid, Acid chemicals.
Oversee weekly acid changes when required.
Driving a forklift truck and/or binder during busy times or when staffing is low.
Check the varying thickness of the galvanized product after it has completed the galvanizing process.
Attend daily huddle meetings with the Production Planner and Senior Work Managers.
You will be working to strict K.P.I.s set by the Operations and Senior Works managers.
You will oversee all training on shift and identify operators for progression.
Carry out all quality checks visual and elcometer.
All customer specific requirements must be carried out to ensure quality of the product
Any accidents that occur on shift must be investigated with as much detail as can be gathered
You must ensure that the plants are clean and tidy for the shift handovers
Your responsibilities as a team leader;

Ensure 100% PPE adherence at ALL times across both plants.
Ensure the workplace is clean and tidy at all times and free of any potential hazards
Undertakes any in house or off site training as and when required.
Be aware of any FLT and crane movement within the area.
Ensure the plants are clear of any unauthorized shift members.
Ensure personnel are not under the boom during movement of the crane
Report any faults with equipment, e.g. crane, booms
Ensure the extraction system is operating at all times
Ensure the ramp chains are in place
Ensure the area around the pot (front and back) is kept clear at all times and pot equipment is suitably stored
